- I was born in Norway, grew up in Kenya, lived in Canada, studied in England, taught in South Korea, and now...live, teach and research in southern California. I am a PhD student at the University of California, Irvine, in the Department of Education, specializing in Language, Literacy and Technology. Teaching was my first love in life, and writing was my second. Sometimes I love swimming in salt water, travelling to strange countries, and cooking new food. And reading, reading, reading.
