Yes, I’ve switched to Mozilla Firefox. It’s quick and easy, cuts pop ups, and has tabs for convenience.
I’ve also switched my mail application to Mozilla thunderbird. Helps greatly with unwanted mail control.
yes these open source projects are leading the way .. have you tried ‘Portable Thunderbird’? A terrific program which enables you to carry your email around on a USB memory key. at

Thunderbird has built in RSS readers (which you can use to syndicate a blog like this). So does firefox – the ‘live bookmark’ / subscribe button.
Firefox has many great extensions, including ‘research buddy’ http://researchbuddy.mozdev.org/
a bit complex, but could be worth investigating. It allows you to store citation/ references as you browse the web. Okay as long as you are browsing online.
cheerio, much more joy to you in ’05

Thanks! I’ve been going crazy using Firefox but with my favorites in Safari….
