No effect for reading and math software

Those who see the role of educational technology as raising test scores through drill and practice of math and English were confronted by disappointing findings this week. Hopefully people will take a broader vision of the role of technology, though many of course will say that technology itself is the problem rather than a too-narrow vision of its role.
